What is the difference between 1st 2nd and 3rd baby foods?

Question by krystal: What is the difference between 1st 2nd and 3rd baby foods?
I know that you are supposed to start with the 1st foods, but looking at the ingredients they all look the same to me, what is the difference?

Answer by julzbabyThe consistency. The 1st foods are very thin, and baby won't gag or choke on them. They get thicker the higher the #.
