Salmon in Curing Stage

I decided to try and cure a filet of salmon at home, for an appetizer. In this picture, the salmon has been curing in a mixture of sea salt, sugar, white pepper, baby dill and italian parsley for 14 hours. There are still 10 more hours to go. I have a dish on top of it because it must be compressed with about 3 lbs of weight to keep the moisture from drawing back into the fish.
