Question by Bella: Can you really over feed a newborn?
My newborn (1 mo old) at first was underfed, and now the doctor says he is overfed if he is consuming 5oz at a feeding. However, on the growth charts my baby is slow. He is just now 9 pounds at 1 month old. The doctor said to fed him sterilized water if he wants more food. But he seems hungry and can keep down 5oz when he wants it. His feedings can range from 2.5oz to 5oz with supplemental nursing.
